Neural networks

An older theory of mine (which I devised when I was about 18) came into being during a presentation a classmate of mine held on neural networks.

I asked him: “Can these break?”.

He replied: “Yes, you can test load on- and overload the network, upon which it will cease to function.”.

As neural networks are based on the human brain I asked: “Can a human brain be overloaded?”.

He replied that it should be possible and wasn’t a very comforting suggestion.

I asked him where these people should go. He replied that it was out of scope of his presentation. The teacher jumped into the conversation and said I had made a hypothesis of psychosis, which is handled by psychiatry.
